Janibek Alimkhanuly Criticizes Demetrius Andrade Performance
WBO middleweight champion Janibek “Qazaq Style” Alimkhanuly (13-0, 8KO) is still picking on former champ Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (32-0, 19KO) for not fighting him. In his latest post, the Kazakh was not impressed with Andrade’s super middleweight debut against Demond Nicholson.
THE BACKSTORY
In 2021, team Alimkhanuly petitioned the WBO for the mandatory spot to fight Andrade. This bold move paid off as the sanctioning body eventually made the order.

Despite sitting in the mandatory position, Qazaq Style spent a good majority of 2022 trying to secure the championship fight. Andrade was given a six-month window to fight him after a failed attempt to fight Zach Parker for the WBO interim title at super middleweight collapsed due to an injury.
In the end, Alimkhanuly defeated Danny Dignum for the WBO interim title before getting elevated to full champion after Andrade officially moved to super middleweight. Fans placed the “boogeyman” label on him behind this whole ordeal. That label came under fire following a lackluster performance in his first title defense against Denzel Bentley November 2022.
In a previous interview with Fighthype, Andrade explained his reason for not fighting Alimkhanuly.
“That wasn’t worth anything for me. If you’re going to sit there and be like, oh Kazakhstan [then], yo where triple G [Gennady Golovkin] at? Me and triple G are in the same way.
“Not Janibek, and then try to make it seem like something. Like this dude is doing something because he fought a few guys […] he can’t even carry my bag to the gym.”
ALIMKHANULY RETURNS FIRE
After reviewing Andrade’s performance, Alimkhanuly took to social media to return the favor.
