Jordan Panthen Remains Undefeated Against DeAundre Pettus

In his Golden Boy Promotions debut, middleweight Jordan “The Patriot” Panthen (11-0, 9KO) got a questionable scorecard in victory over DeAundre “Dixianimal” Pettus (12-4, 7KO).

The Patriot looked to fight at a fast pace, sticking a hard jab and straight right hand against Pettus. He landed solid body shots whenever Dixianimal was on ropes.

Yet, Pettus came to fight and started finding a home for that counter right hand. In addition, his movement and uppercuts halted Panthen’s aggressiveness momentarily.

Despite suffering a cut on the right eye, Pettus continued to apply pressure landing body shots. However, Pettus fired back, looking to take control behind quick combination punches.

As the fight continued, Pettus started strong but kept leaning on the ropes, which allowed Panthen to land hard body shots.

In the closing rounds, both men fought hard exchanging blows. Pettus put together nice combination punches in spots. Yet, Panthen’s pressure and body shots carried the day.

The judges scorecards were 100-90, 98-92, and 97-93 for Panthen. That first judge couldn’t have been watching the fight. 3kingsboxing felt the fight should have been a draw but doesn’t object to Panthen being declared the winner.
