Ramirez Gets A New Date!
Ramirez’s first defense of his WBC title fell through after challenger Danny O’Connor had to withdraw from severe dehydration.
Apparently, September 14 will be the new date with an opponent and venue to be announced.
A conflict may be in play with football season right around the corner. This hurt the chances of a homecoming bout taking place in September.
Many suspect the new opponent will Be Silver Champion Josh Taylor. However, he has elected to enter the WBSS.
After Friday’s unfortunate events, Ramirez is eager to make his first defense.
