Joe Joyce Wants Tyson Fury To Fight Or Vacate The WBC Title

Heavyweight boxer Joe “Juggernaut’ Joyce (14-0, 13KO) is hungry for his shot at a full world title. He already is in possession of the secondary WBO International and WBC Silver heavyweight titles, which he beat Daniel Dubois to secure. Presently, Joyce is fresh off his fourth round destruction of the well-experienced Christian Hammer.

Ranked #1 (WBO), #2 (WBC) and #6 (IBF), Joyce is a front-runner to face the winner of the upcoming match between unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Yet, there is no metric to go by that would promise when he could actually get the winner in the ring.

FIGHT OR VACATE!

Realizing this, the Juggernaut would be happy if WBC heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (32-0-1, 23 KO’s) would give him a shot or vacate his strap.

Fury is coming off two destructive bush-whacking’s of one-time heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. In the wake of the second strapping and a title defense over long-time challenger Dillian Whyte, the Gypsy King has only stated he is retired. To underscore the point, Fury said that only the sum of $500,000,000 million could get him back in the squared-circle. With this being the case, Joyce explained to SecondsOut that if Fury is sincere in this declaration then he should free the belt from suspended animation and vacate the title.

“I love that fight if he comes out of retirement. Obviously he is going to watch AJ/Usyk. But I am not putting words into his mouth. He can do whatever he wants. If he is truly retired then he can vacate the belt and then I will capture it, thank you!”
