Julio Porras Remains Undefeated With Win Over Isaac Torres
In a battle featuring two undefeated super middleweights, Julio “Diamante” Porras (12-0, 9KO) keeps that undefeated record intact with a victory over Isaac Torres (10-1, 10KO)
Diamante looked tight in the early going of the fight before letting those hands go. In round two, he landed a perfect set-up left hook that put Torres on the canvas.
As the fight continued into the middle rounds, Torres showing respect for Porras’ power, fought off the back foot. He did manage to land a few solid left hooks.
Porras kept the pressure on by coming forward with shots to the body. Torres’ received a heavy tongue lashing from the corner for his lack of effort.
It was like watching a looped film playing the same thing repeatedly. Porras stalked Torres who was in survival mode for the remainder of the contest. He was able to land some body shots but got frustrated with the constant holding from his opponent whenever he closed the gap.
As the final bell mercifully ended the fight one judge scored it 100-89 with two seeing it 99-90 in favor of Porras.
