Lee Cutler Takes Away Stephen McKenna Undefeated Record
In a heated battle in the junior middleweight division, Lee “Chaos” Cutler (15-1, 7KO) took away Stephen “Hitman” McKenna’s (15-1, 14KO) undefeated record for the win.
This fight was almost over in the first round as Chaos landed a hard counter-shot that dropped McKenna to the canvas. After surviving the round, Hitman went to work over the next few rounds, landing the jab and the straight right hand.
He cranked up the offense by fighting at a furious pace, throwing three and four-punch combinations. Mckenna fought well off the front foot using that long reach, keeping Cutler at bay on the back foot.
As the fight went into the second half, Cutler found a second gear and landed a painful counter right hand that put McKenna on the canvas in the seventh round. Chaos couldn’t miss with those counter right hands over the next couple of rounds.
With the fight coming to a close, McKenna focused on attacking the body while throwing punches in bunches. Cutler kept finding a home for the counter right hand as both men left it all in the ring.
In the end, one judge scored it a draw (94-94), while two judges gave it to Cutler (96-93 and 95-92).
