Leonardo Sanchez Stops Jenel Lausa In Round Four!
Lightweight prospect Leonardo “Bazooka” Sanchez (7-0, 6KO) beat down veteran Jenel “The Demolition Man” Lausa (11-4-1, 7KO) with body shots.
After getting hit repeatedly by countershots in the opening rounds, Sanchez turned it around on Lausa with hard body shots.
He finally moved the head off the centerline and attacked the veteran’s body with ruthless aggression. In round three, he landed a hard uppercut to the belly that put The Demolition Man on one knee.
As the round continued, he landed another painful body shot that sent Lausa to the canvas. The Filipino narrowly survived the round. In round four, he tried to fight back by landing more countershots before hitting the canvas from another body shot.
The referee had seen enough and called an end to the fight. Bazooka got the victory but needs to get back into the gym. The 21-year-old Californian must learn to get his hands back up, move his head, and use the jab.
