Erickson Lubin Cruises by Nathaniel Gallimore!

The weigh-in for between top junior middleweight contender Erickson Lubin and late replacement Nathaniel Gallimore was filled with trash talk. However, on their October 26 fight night, it was time to fight!

THE BREAKDOWN

After a slow opening round in which neither man did much of anything, Lubin would start to let his hands go. He would land repeated straight left-hands that kept Gallimore in check, other than an occasional left hook from Gallimore.

After Gallimore landed a nice right-hand, Lubin, who was on the ropes, would wake up! He would start to take his attack downstairs, landing his straight left-hand over and over.

Round four would be the best round for either man, as Lubin would hurt Gallimore with a right hook. He would follow-up with hard straight left-hands and more right hooks. Instead of fighting back, Gallimore elected to do more talking instead of actual fighting.

Round six was another big round for Lubin, as he did whatever he wanted to do. In the closing seconds of the round, he unleashed some bone -rushing shots that would snap back the head of Gallimore. Round eight would be, by far, the best round for Gallimore. He would land digging left hooks to the body and right hands.

After the conclusion of a dominating performance, the scorecard would reflect the efforts of Lubin. The three scores were 99-91.

Rated number two in the WBC, Lubin is inching closer to a second world title opportunity against the winner of the highly anticipated rematch between champion Tony Harrison and the man who once conquered Lubin, Jermell Charlo!
