Erickson Lubin returns on the under-card of Gervonta Davis vs Abner Mares
Highly touted junior middleweight contender Erickson Lubin will get another chance to prove himself as an upper echelon fighter at 154.
Lubin, who suffered his only professional loss at the hands of then WBC junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo back in 2017, will now look to add a familiar name to his resume.
Since the loss, he has been apart of a YouTube series involving a grueling training camp with famed trainer Kevin Cunningham. Additionally, he made a return in April, knocking out Silverio Ortiz in four rounds.
3kingsboxing.com has learned Lubin will face former junior middleweight champion Ishe Smith.
As a former champion, Smith would present a stern challenge for his youthful opponent. While clearly past his prime, Smith is a cagey veteran with a wealth of knowledge and experience. In addition, to go along with a solid skillset.
This fight should provide clarity as to where Lubin is now at as a fighter.
