Ortiz/Cojanu will serve as the co-main event for Mikey Garcia vs Robert Easter Jr.

Top Heavyweight contender “King Kong” Luis Ortiz is looking to rebound after suffereing his first defeat in March.

In a compelling battle with WBC champion Deontay Wilder, Ortiz was very close to becoming the first Cuban heavyweight champion. He had Wilder severely hurt and nearly stopped him in round 7, before being stopped himself in the 10th round.

Conjanu (16-3, 9KOs) will be returning from a year long layoff. His last fight was an unsuccessful first attempt at a title opportunity against then WBO champion Joesph Parker.

The winner of this fight will surely be right back in the title mix.

For Ortiz it would put him within reach of potentially getting another crack at Wilder and the WBC title.
