Paul Malignaggi and Tim Bradley Look For Canelo to Step Up

Retired two-division champion Paul “Magic Man” Malignaggi and Hall of Fame Inductee Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley have addressed both undisputed super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and his fanbase over the champions continuous stonewalling of two-time WBC champion “The Mexican Monster” David Benavidez.

Canelo has come under heavy fire for wanting a king’s ransom to fight The Mexican Monster. Several boxing enthusiasts and fighters are extremely upset with the fact he is purposely trying to avoid making the fight.

THEY DID NOT HOLD BACK

During a live conversation about boxing on Probox TV, Bradley called out the Mexican for not behaving like a champion.

“When is Canelo going to answer that call? That is all I’m saying. When is he going to answer that call? . . . If you have pride in yourself, if you believe in yourself, and you got another man doing the same thing you are doing, but calling your name, you got to stand up, man.”

Malignaggi added a comment that will more than likely upset Canelo’s fanbase.

“You’re talking alpha stuff with the fanbase of betas. They are not going to understand it. It’s going to go right over their heads, and they’ll figure out a way to make an excuse for it. You can’t talk alpha conversations with betas and that’s what Canelo’s fanbase consists of pretty much, is betas.”

This situation is highly disappointing as Alvarez is acting like Benavidez hasn’t done anything that warrants his attention. What makes it even more upsetting is that his next opponent, Jaime Munguia, has done far less than the two-time champion.

It is worth mentioning that some fans are calling for the undisputed champion to fight The Mexican Monster in September. However, there are still some fans who say Benavidez hasn’t done enough or call his resume into question.
