Bakole: “The Big Fight Is Between Zhang Or Kabayel”

Bakole Wants Zhilei Zhang, Agit Kabayel, or Joseph Parker Next

Heavyweight contender Martin Bakole (21-1, 16KO) is calling for a showdown with “Big Bang” Zhilei Zhang (27-2-1, 22KO), Agit Kabayel (25-0, 17KO), or Joseph Parker (35-3, 25KO) next.

Bakole is still in the minds of boxing fans after taking away Jared Anderson’s perfect record. After five rounds of a one-sided beatdown, Bakole was awarded the stoppage. Looking to build off that momentum, he has put together a list of names that would make for exciting fights.

While speaking with Sky Sports Boxing, Bakole expressed interest in fighting big fights against other top contenders.

“I even tell my team because we are in the top ten now, we need to fight the best. So, we need the big fights now. The big fight is between Zhang and Kabayel…the good people I can fight right now are Big Zhang, Joseph Parker, or Kabi.”

THE HIT LIST

All three names are worth paying attention to cause Bakole versus any of them makes for a good scrap. Moreover, each fight could come with title implications for the winner.

Anthony Joshua taking on IBF champion Daniel Dubois in a mega-fight on September 21. With the top two slots vacant, #5 ranked Bakole could face #6 ranked Zhang (27-2-1, 22KO), or #4 ranked Kabayel (25-0, 17KO) in a title eliminator.

When looking at the other organizational ranking once the deck is reshuffled all three guys ranking status would justify fighting for the interim title.

Despite Parker not being ranked by any of the sanctioning bodies, that is still a good fight. A victory over the former world champion, who’s coming off a big win against Deontay Wilder, would be a huge plus for Bakole.

These are the kinds of matchups that boxing fans want to see.
