Martin Bakole Scores Impressive Stoppage Over Jared Anderson
After five rounds of intense action, Martin Bakole (21-1, 16 KOs) stopped Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson (17-1, 15 KOs) by way of TKO.
Anderson opened the match responsibly and efficiently by working behind his jab and targeting the body. He had a great opening round before getting dropped with a right uppercut in the closing moments.
The two would stage a pretty even battle over the next several rounds. Anderson concentrated on body shots and jabs, while Bakole focused on hard counter shots to the head. In a somewhat questionable fashion, Anderson spent an inadvisable amount of time on the ropes. It went from competitive to corrosive for The Real Big Baby in the fifth round.
In this round, the Ohian was walloped and dropped twice from power shots by Bakole. Anderson jumped back up and into action, which was not a smart tactic.
While up against the ropes, Anderson absorbed too many big shots, forcing the referee to halt the action. It was a fantastic win for Bakole but a huge setback for Anderson.
