Eddie Hearn Adds Another Women’s World Champion in Maiva Hamadouche to Matchroom
Matchroom Boxing has signed women’s IBF Super Featherweight World Champion Maiva Hamadouche on a multi-fight co-promotional deal with OPI Since 82.
Hamadouche (21-1, 17 KOs) has only lost once in 22 fights. She dropped a points decision to Belgium’s Delfine Persoon in a challenge for the WBC Lightweight crown in 2015. Since, Frenchwoman has since gone on a 12-fight unbeaten streak.
She picked up the vacant IBF World Title with a unanimous decision over Bolivia’s Jennifer Salinas in November 2016. She has made five successful defences of her belt, most recently against Mexico’s Janeth Perez in July 2019.
‘El Veneno’ joins a thriving Matchroom stable that boasts undefeated WBC Super-Featherweight queen Terri Harper and undefeated WBO Super Featherweight ruler Ewa Brodnicka. The 30-year-old is determined to prove she is the No.1 women’s 130lbs fighter on the planet by targeting unifications with her new stablemates.
