David Morrell Grateful After Hearing About Aidos Yerbossynuly Recovery
The boxing community is glad to learn that super middleweight title challenger Aidos Yerbossynuly is on the road to recovery. WBA ‘regular’ super middleweight champion David Morrell took to social media, hinting that Yerbossynuly is doing well.
Morrell’s cryptic tweet became clearer after Big Fight Weekend revealed Yerbossynuly is out of the induced coma. Furthermore, he seems to be recovering nicely, with reports claiming he has been able to speak and walk.
On November 5, Yerbossynuly suffered the first defeat of his career in an attempt to win the world title from Morrell. Despite showing tremendous heart over the course of twelve rounds, Yerbossynuly sustained heavy damage. His face reflected the damage after being swollen with possibly a broken nose. However, he continued mounting an offense at times in the fight. It was not until the end of the fight, after being knocked down twice and helped to his corner, that he showed signs that something was terribly wrong.
CHANGING COURSE FOR YESBOSSYNULY
On November 6, the boxing community rallied behind the 30 year-old Kazakh after learning he was in a medically induced coma. This was done to help relieve swelling of the brain, as Yerbossynuly had taken serious head trauma.
It is true that boxing is the ‘hurt’ business. It is something all fighters understand whenever stepping into the ring. However, they do not want to see a fellow warrior seriously injured. This is why Morrell quickly took to social media to send his prayers for a fast recovery for his opponent.
3Kings Boxing is happy to hear Yerbossynuly’s condition has improved. We will continue to send our prayers in hopes of a full recovery and his return home to loved ones soon.
