Munguia Makes Quick Work of Ali

Munguia dominated Ali in route to winning first world title

In the main event from the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, NY Sadam Ali put his WBO Jr Middleweight Title on the against undefeated Jaime Munguia (29-0,25KO’s). Ali (26-2,14KO’s) was fresh off his victory over future Hall of Famer Miguel Cotto back in December.

You could see the big size difference between both men as Munguia made Ali look like a welterweight. Munguia landed a big left hook that hurt and dropped Ali. Munguia continued the onslaught hurting Ali throughout the round and dropping him once again. Ali was able to somehow make it out of the round.

In the second round Ali seemed game trying to mount some type of offense, got caught and dropped again right at the end of the round. He was showing guts but Munguia just kept the pressure on him. Ali tried to rally in the third but got caught by Munguia once again with a shot that hurt him. It was only a matter of time.

Munguia was simply too big for Ali dropping him for one final time as the referee would put a halt to the bout. Your winner by TKO and the new WBO Jr Middleweight Champion of the World Jaime Munguia. It was his first fight out of Mexico and he sure made an introduction.
