Jaime Munguia breaks down Brandon Cook for a third round TKO victory to defend title!
In the opening round, the champion Munguia came out using his jab, as did the challenger Cook. As the round progressed, Munguia closed the distance and proceeded to batter Cook against the ropes. Round two was the same; Jaime again forced his opponent to the ropes and punished him with body and head shots.
In round three we saw Jaime come out strong sensing, he hurt his opponent in the previous round. Cook went down after a series of punches but, to his credit, got back up. However, the fight wouldn’t last much longer than that, as referee Tony Weeks had seen enough.
Official time on the TKO was 1:03 in the third round. Munguia improves his record to 31-0, 26 KOs.
