Omotoso Pulls Out UD Over Hernandez

Omotoso Opens PBC On FS1 Card With UD

In the first fight of PBC On FS1 from the Pioneer Event Center in Lancaster, California Freddy Hernandez (34-8, 22 KO’s) took on Wale Omotoso (26-3, 21 KO’s) in a 10 rounds Super Welterweight bout.

The fight started slow but with about a minute to go in the first Omotoso landed a straight right hand that pushed Hernandez straight back. Hernandez remained calmed and weathered the storm. In the second the fight heated up a little with both men landing shots and looking to trade.

In the third round Hernandez seemed to come forward more while finding a home for his left hook. Omotoso seemed to struggle fighting off his back foot and was doing better when coming forward.

In the fourth round Omotoso tried to come forward and press the action but Hernandez was able to use his reach to keep the fight at a distance.

It was apparent that Hernandez was the better boxer. Both men however had hurt the other and Omotoso kept coming forward and getting the unanimous victory over Hernandez. It was a good fight friendly fight.
