Nordine Oubaali may face Rau’shee Warren next for The WBC title!

As previously reported by 3kingsboxing,#1 ranked Bantamweight Nordine Oubaali (14-0, 11 KOs) has signed with MTK Global and is looking at challenging for the vacant WBC bantamweight title.

The opponent may be former Olympian and WBA bantamweight champion Rau’shee Warren (16-2, 4 KOs).

Oubaali, a 31 year-old fighter from France, currently holds both the WBA Inter-Continental and WBC Silver bantamweight titles. He was going to fight #2 ranked Petch Sor Chitpattana for the title, but a change was made with the new promotional move.

Warren, a 31 year-old Ohio native, is a former WBA/IBO World bantamweight Champion. Since losing his titles in 2017 against Zhanat Zhakiyanov in a close split decision loss, he is coming off a two fight win streak.

Oubaali holds the power advantage and is perhaps the better boxer. He hopes to capitalize on this opportunity, as he will be fighting for his first world title.

Warren has faced the better overall competition with victories over McJoe Arroyo and former world champion Juan Carlos Payano. In addition, he holds advantages in both height and reach. He is hoping to regain his place at the top of the division once again.

Both men are no strangers to each other; having met in the 2012 Olympics that saw Oubaali gain a victory. This only adds to the rivalry as Warren would love nothing more than to regain a title while avenging that 2012 lost.
