Pablo Rubio Braves Two Knockdowns To Earn Beat Adan Palma!
In a rather fun, see-saw battle, featherweight fighter Pablo “Shark” Rubio (15-0, 5 KO’s) defeated Adan Palma (14-1, 9 KO’s) by way of unanimous decision. To earn that win, Rubio would have to scrape himself off the deck twice and dig deep. The match opened evenly enough with Shark using his considerable reach and height advantage to press the action behind a snappy jab.
In comparison, Palma was composed and compact. From his fort-like defense, he was able to cover up well while counterpunching effectively. The height of his offense saw him clip Rubio with a chopping left hook and short straight right that put him down. Both knockdowns took place in the third.
Despite tasting the canvas Rubio, continued to press the action and find success with his voluminous combination punching. In fact, as the rounds wore on, the tenacity of Shark appeared to notably dull the fighting vigor of Palma.
