Ricardo Salas Forces the Stoppage to Put Away Jesus Saracho in 8!
Welterweight fighter Ricardo “Magic Man” Salas (23-2-2, 17 KO’s) kicked off his professional year with an eighth-round TKO win over Jesus “Junior” Saracho (16-3-2, 12 KO’s). The duel began and persisted as a tough back-and-forth affair for the first several rounds. Each enjoyed a good measure of offensive success throughout.
Yet, as the fight wore on, Magic Man was able use his feet to befuddle and ultimately undo Saracho. As the bout slowed each man a bit, the difference in footspeed and positioning ability was pronounced. Taking full advantage, Salas was able to routinely beat Junior to the punch which quickly turned the duel increasingly one-sided.

Unable to turn the tide, Saracho was peppered and buffeted with a steady diet of stiff punches in distressing fashion. Having previously warned him and taken his fill, referee Robert Hoyle called a halt to the action with Junior corralled in the corner absorbing another belting. This was an impressive win for Salas. It will be interesting to see who he and his team target in his next at-bat.
