Prograis and Matias trade words!

Former WBA Junior Welterweight champion Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (25-1, 21KOs) has responded to a call-out by Puerto Rican hard-hitter Subriel “Browny” Matias (16-1, 16KOs).

The rising prospect is looking to take a huge step up in competition. So much so that he is willing to take on former champion Prograis. Taking to social media, Matias issued the following statement on his Instagram page regarding his aspirations of a fight with the Louisiana native.

“WE CAN DO IT EVEN AT YOUR HOME IN NEW ORLEANS! The sport you and I chose is one of courage and bravery! Showtime already offered you the fight and if it’s fear that you feel, I don’t blame you, I’m afraid of myself. I’m going to write it to you in your language so that you understand me! Pick up the Fight Prograis, I’m waiting for the contract.”

PROGRAIS CLAPS BACK!

Not one for being disrespected, the hard-hitting Prograis clapped back at Matias, issuing a painful threat!

“Who the fuck is this calling me out??? This is a C-fighter and I will eat him up and SHIT him out. You better finish kindergarten before you join the Big boys.

(I know I shouldn’t be replying to this but if you know me you know I can’t backdown from a fight.)”

This fight is very intriguing due to both men’s ability to knock you out at any moment in the fight. They also have fan-friendly fighting styles that would no doubt produce an entertaining bout.

Both men are coming off knockout victories in their most recent fights. Matias stopped Malik Hawkins (18-1, 11KOs) in six rounds back on October 24. As for Prograis, he is coming off a knockout victory over Juan Heraldez (16-1-1, 10KOs) on Halloween night.
