Would Alalshikh Finance Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia Rematch?

Four months after suffering his first devastating professional loss, later changed to a no-decision, two-division champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (31-0, 15 KO’s) is looking to stage a comeback. After making his intentions known via his social media, the influential Turki Alalshikh was quick to express his interest in being involved. Then nearly just as fast, the ultra controversial and just as vulgar “King Ry” Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KO’s) attempted to inject himself into the fold.

LET’S DO IT AGAIN

As it stands, Haney and Garcia represent the last opposition for one another after King Ry initially won an exciting and violent contest this past April 20. In the aftermath of that duel however, Garcia would be flagged and later suspended for failing a number of drug tests. Since his suspension, King Ry continued to mar his name and reputation by constantly showing himself drinking, acting off the wall and engaging in numerous racial tirades.

Directly following their prizefight, The Dream declared that he would never again face Garcia due to the failed drug tests. Having thought it over a bit more however, Haney changed his tune – stating that he would compete with Garcia once again and wanted to do so quickly. Therefore, it does appear that it is only a matter of time before these two test their might versus one another.

GET LOST

While Haney and Garcia have laid out their thoughts for public consumption, it is not so clear if Turki Alalshikh feels the same way. As previously mentioned, Alalshikh is more than willing to do business with The Dream. It is not so clear if he will be as agreeable to work with Garcia. This uncertainty stems from King Ry going well out of his way to insult those of the Islamic faith of which he is a practitioner.

Recently, Alalshikh has been on a crusade to make the biggest fights in the sport a reality. Yet, he had no problem walking away from boxing powerhouses Gervonta Davis and Canelo Alvarez when they became less than cooperative. So, given the blatant disrespect that Garcia demonstrated to his faith it would not be surprising to see Turki Alalshikh decline working with King Ry as well.

Only time will tell if Alalshikh is willing to overlook his transgressions, at the moment however, radio silence has ruled the day on this matter.
