Amanda Serrano on Katie Taylor: She’s Average!

Women’s boxing great Amanda Serrano (38-1-1, 28KOs) had some unpleasant things to say about her next opponent; the current undisputed lightweight and WBO junior welterweight champion Katie Taylor (15-0, 6KOs).

Serrano, a seven division world champion and Taylor have been on a collision course since 2019 after the Puerto Rican superstar aligned herself with Eddie Hearn.

In an interview with Fight Nation, Serrano gave her thoughts on Taylor as fighter.

“She’s the undisputed champion and I would like nothing more than to become the undisputed champion.

“She’s an average woman, she’s a girl. We saw her in there with my sister with my trainer Jordan when my sister fought her. She’s average. She’s not no superhero like everyone claims her to be.”

Obviously, these two women are great at what they do. However, Serrano simply isn’t impressed as many others in boxing are with Taylor and what she’s bring to the fight game compared to her.

The fight with Delfine Persoon in June of 2019 showed Taylor in a different light. She was busted and bloody at conclusion. Serrano, one of the hardest punchers in women’s boxing, seems to be a very good candidate to give the Ireland product her very first professional loss.

At the present time, there’s no date and location set for this mega showdown. However, an official announcement should come rather quickly.

3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
