Claressa Shields Calls for Jake Paul to be Exposed!
When WBC heavyweight champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields (15-0, 3 KO’s) is typically tough talking to the men, she is trying to drum up a fight for herself. This time, Shields is calling on one of boxing’s male elites to fight someone else. If Shields got her way, then a capable named fighter would raise their hand and beat up popular influencer turned boxer Jake Paul.
In his last outing, Paul jostled and pushed around boxing legend “Iron” Mike Tyson. Although, Iron, 58, was hugging 60 closer than a NASCAR left turn wall ride at the time of the points loss. The elder athlete, complete with a knee brace, hit the ring willing but unable to pull the trigger. Seeing the boxing titan in such depleted and feeble condition obviously angered the two-time gold medalist. Feeling enough is enough, Shields wants one of the guys to step up and defend the honor of Tyson and the sport itself.
“Now this is what I don’t understand about the men in boxing; this is what the GWOAT don’t understand – if Jake Paul, and y’all complain about he’s not a real boxer, he bad for boxing and all that, why the hell y’all wont get in the ring and beat him? Couldn’t no YouTube girl come to boxing and say I am going to be world champion and I am going to beat Claressa Shields, and Claressa Shields don’t whoop her ass and send her back to YouTube!”
“Which one of you guys, who Jake Paul is calling out, and I am even going to say this for the king Canelo. If Jake Paul is calling you out talking about he can beat you in a fight, why wouldn’t you just whoop his ass? Just do it! What is all this, ‘he hasn’t earned a fight with me, he isn’t that great, he’s not a real boxer’? Well, show him he is not a real boxer! Shut him up, it’s a check.”
PUT UP OR…
Honestly speaking, Shields makes a compelling point. In this era of boxing, like it or not, the rule of the day has been taking the path of least resistance. If this is the case, why not give Jake Paul what he is looking for and cash him in? Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua took their swings at Francis Ngannou to varying results and were handsomely paid for their efforts.
Paul certainly would come with a double-digit million-dollar purse and an outrageously big platform. So why not get paid by dusting off a relative professional novice and defending the honor of your craft? Seems like easy math.
It will be interesting to see if any of the males feel similar to Shields and think they are the one to stop the Jake Paul hype-train. Only time will tell, so let’s stay tuned.
