Claressa Shields Makes Response Video to Billy Joe Saunders
Undisputed middleweight and unified junior middleweight champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields (10-0, 2ko), like most of the world, is on lock-down due to COVID-19. The self-proclaimed G.W.O.A.T (Greatest Woman Of All Time) had a fight postponed with IBF champion Marie Eve Dicaire (17-0).
Furthermore, with nothing moving, this gave the Flint champion more time than usual to be on social media. She came across a video in what can only be described as a crass joke in extremely poor taste.
WBO super middleweight champion “Superb” Billy Joe Saunders (29-0, 14ko), posted a video showing men how to deal with their women if they become annoyed during the quarantine. This didn’t go over well at all in the age of the “#MeToo” movement. That video had a red beam on it and shots were fired.
Moreover, the WBO champion’s Twitter account has been shut down quicker than your lights after an unpaid electric bill! He would later issue an apology in an attempt to cool off some of the heat. However, it fell on deaf ears as the BBBoC has decided to suspend Superb.
Shields prides herself on being an advocate for women that goes beyond the boxing ring. It shouldn’t come as a surprise the unified champion made a response video advising women with the ultimate counter-punch.
“Hit them in the nuts.”
Okay, by now I think everyone knows how this works. As anyone can guess, there were swift responses for her to be suspended as well.
T-Rex isn’t known for backing down, especially when she feels justified, and went right back to social media to address anyone upset about her video.
Oh wait, there is more!
When it was suggested that her video was about being abusive to a man, the unified champion quickly addressed that as well with a mic-dropping response.
