Claressa Shields responds to Savannah Marshall!

The war of words continues between undisputed junior middleweight champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields (11-0, 2KOs) and WBO middleweight champion Savannah “Silent Assassin” Marshall (10-0, 8KOs). After knocking out Maria Lindberg in three rounds in her first defense of her title, Marshall was asked yet again about her amateur rival Shields.

Not one for many words, the hard-hitting champion stated she believes the two-time Olympic gold medalist does not want a taste of power.

“I punch too hard for Claressa Shields. I do, I punch far too hard and she doesn’t wanna know. She’d much rather roll about in the octagon, rather call out Katie Taylor when she’s four weight classes below her. She doesn’t wanna know.”

Marshall’s comments on Shields’ desire to become a mixed martial artist and calling for a fight with a much smaller Katie Taylor is her way of trying to lure her fellow unbeaten counterpart into the ring.

SHIELDS RESPONDS!

In no major surprise, Shields took to her Twitter account to respond to the comments. She claims if the money is right, the fight will happen.
