Errol Spence Jr. Says Terence Crawford has a Lackluster Resume At 147
The fight that boxing fans have waited to see for too long is finally on the countdown clock. Unified welterweight champion Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. (28-0, 22KO) and WBO champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (39-0, 30KO) exchanged words in the first press conference.
The boxing world was given a sliver of hope that Spence-Crawford would happen after it was revealed they were talking to each other on the phone. On May 25, fan’s prayers were answered when both champions took to social media to officially announce the undisputed showdown will take place on July 29. At the press conference, both fighters appeared on stage together for the first time.
ERROL SPENCE VS TERENCE CRAWFORD BEGINS
It didn’t take long for the unpleasantries to begin as things got heated quickly. Crawford has faced subpar competition since entering the division when compared to Spence. This is something that The Truth used in going after Bud’s resume following his claims that a victory would make him the greatest fighter of this era.
“I’m not going to lie, Top Rank got the best matchmakers in the business. You ain’t fought nobody man, you haven’t beat anybody. Undisputed at 140, who you fight at 135 and who you fight at 147?”
Errol Spence Jr.
The two would keep the back-and-forth flowing. Crawford took a shot at the Texas unified champion by calling himself the big fish.
“I’m going to gut him, and I’m gonna feed him to everybody that eats fish in here. You call yourself the big fish, we’re going to have enough food for everybody.”

Spence took aim at the WBO champion’s alias, Bud.
“Hey man, y’all go to ESJ.com The Truth.com and buy that pack man; we’re gonna roll him up and smoke him in Vegas.”

For the next several weeks, boxing fans can expect the boxing debate shows to be just as intense. Arguments over who will win and why will go into overdrive from here.
