Tim Tszyu Welcomes Fight with Terence Crawford

Come Saturday March 26, super welterweight Tim “The Soul Taker” Tszyu (20-0, 15 KO’s) will ply his deadly trade against the challenge of Terrell Gausha. The two will duel in the belly of the Armory located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The prizefight will be the first that Tszyu, ranked #1 (WBO), #3 (IBF) and #3 (WBC), has ever staged in the United States.

It is far from a guarantee that the Soul Taker, 27, will defeat the talented 2012 Olympian. Yet, like all confident fighters, Tszyu is firm in his belief that he will best Gausha when they go to war. Provided that he does win the day, he would naturally want to continue competing with the best available opposition.

PASS ME BUD!

While chin-wagging with media at a recent open workout, Tszyu broached the subject of a possible bout with WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (38-0, 29 KO’s). In the recent past, Bud has mentioned that a possible move up is not out of question. Given his exuberance when posed the question, there is no doubt a bout with Bud excites Tszyu.

“If I get to fight Terence Crawford, that’s cracker man! That’s sick!”

First things first though, the Soul Taker must defeat Gausha, #10 (WBO), before he can worry about any potential glory down the road. So, let’s tune in on March 26 to see how Tszyu fairs in his premiere American dust up.
