Oleksandr Usyk’s heavyweight debut postponed!

Those eagerly awaiting cruiserweight kingpin Oleaksandr Usyk’s heavyweight debut will have to wait a little longer. 3kingsboxing.com has learned the undisputed champion has torn his bicep during training, forcing him to withdraw from his planned May 25 bout with Carlos Takam.

This marks the second change in expected plans regarding usyk’s debut at heavyweight. The first was a change in venue and date from May 18 due to WBC champion Deontay Wilder’s bout against Dominic Breazeale.

This withdrawal casts uncertainty on whether the card will still go as planned. Rising lightweight contender Devin Haney is slated to serve in the co-main event against Antonio Moran. If the card is not cancelled, he will most likely headline in the main event.

We here at 3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
