Oleksandr Usyk Signs Multi-Fight Deal with Skill Challenge Promotions

For the latest twist in his career, unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KO’s) has recently signed with Skill Challenge Promotions. Apparently the Ukrainian has committed to a multi-fight deal with the Saudi Arabian based company which was just established in 2023 by His Highness Prince Khaled bin Abdulaziz.

Oleksandr Usyk joins Skill Challenge Promotions

Usyk, who holds the WBA Super, WBO and IBF titles, last fought and defeated Anthony Joshua in back-to-back battles. This is how the two-division champion and former undisputed cruiserweight champion came to possess his current hardware. Had things gone his way though, Usyk would have penned a much sought after prizefight with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Obviously this bout would produce an undisputed champion. Sadly, the two teams simply could not get their heads together.

Instead, Usyk, 36, will face Daniel Dubois on August 26 in Poland. Ideally, with the financial backing of Skill Challenge Promotions, Team Usyk can later revisit a fight with Tyson Fury and come to an agreement. Without question a huge blockbuster between the unified champion and Fury would be great for their careers and the fans at large. For the time being though, we will just have to wait for all the moving parts to come together.
