Oscar Valdez return pushed back to February 2

3kingsboxing.com previously reported WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez would return to the ring January 26.

However, we have now learned Valdez will return a week later than expected.

Along with a new date and venue, he will also have a new opponent. He was originally scheduled to defend his WBO title against Andoni Gago. However, he pulled out due to undisclosed reasons.

He’ll now attempt to make his fifth tite defense against Italy’s Carmine Tommasone (19-0, 5 KOs).

This fight with Tommasone will be part of the Eleider Alvarez vs Sergey Kovalev rematch under-card.
