Despite previous injury Vasyl Lomachenko is ready to return in August.
Vasyl Lomachenko is currently recovering from shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum sustained in a TKO victory over Jorge Linares.
Regarding his return, he took to Instagram and had this to say:
I’m returning August 25th. Who do you think I’m going to be fighting?
That is a very ambitious goal by Lomachenko, who’d return less than three months after an injury. Although past reports were the injury is minor, Bob Arum was steadfast on a December return.
While it sounds nice, I’m sure everybody involved with his career will proceed with caution. The last thing Bob Arum and Top Rank need is for Lomachenko to re-injure himself.
