Frank Warren talks about Tyson Fury’s immediate future!

At a recent presser UK promoter Frank Warren, of Queensbury Promotions, provided a good measure of info on what should be next for Tyson Fury.

First and foremost, Warren complimented his charge, Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (28-0-1, 20 KO’s) on his successful Las Vegas debut. The straight-forward promoter was happy that for this bout, against Tom Schwarz (24-1, 16 KO’s), Fury could train for the fight and not simply to make weight.

Warren revealed that toiling to make weight to face WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KO’s), is what dominated that camp.

“Tyson is head and shoulders above these guys and skill wise. And I’ve been saying for a while, when he’s 100% he’s the best heavyweight out there bar none. He should be the WBC champion anyway.”

With one more fight under his belt, the Queensbury Promotions founder is certain that Fury would be a much improved fighter for the Wilder rematch.

While Warren couldn’t assure who Fury’s next opponent will be, he did assure that the Gypsy King will return to the East Coast sometime in the fall. Top Rank chairman Bob Arum claims Fury’s return is targeted for September 21 at Madison Square Garden.

Although various venues are still being researched, it’s likely that Fury will fight in Madison Square Garden, against a top 5 ranked foe.
