Deontay Wilder Announces a Potential MMA Fight in the Future

Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder (43-2-1, 42KO) is looking to transition into the world of mixed martial arts. The popular boxer has openly admitted to accepting an offer that could see him in an MMA event.

Boxing fans have been hit with a lot of news surrounding the former champion, as of late. One major point of order surrounds his desired fight with Andy Ruiz. Wilder has assured fans that making the Ruiz fight is a top priority.

The second story is regarding Wilder being a free agent and willing to work on different business ventures. In an interview with 78 Sports TV, The Bronze Bomber was excited to reveal news of an offer on the table that will raise the eyebrows of the boxing community.

“I got another option as well to do boxing and MMA somewhere else in a certain location. That’ll be crazy man, and I accept that. I accepted that last night.”

The 37-year-old seems to be sticking to his word on being willing to work on new ventures. This explains his excitement about entertaining this new offer. In his last outing, Wilder made quick work of veteran Robert Helenius in October 2022. While boxing fans await his return, Wilder is viewing all business options while there is still time left to capitalize on them.
