Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury Exchange Shoves at Final Press Conference!
After months of respectful pleasantries between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (42-0-1, 41KOs) and former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (29-0-1, 20KOs), the intensity intensified rather quickly at the final press conference.
SHOVES EXCHANGED!
Both Wilder and Fury went from 0 to 100 as each man stepped forward in their face-off exchanging verbal insults. Not liking the closeness of Fury in his personal space, the champion shoved his British counterpart backwards. That didn’t stop the talkative Fury from returning face to face with the Alabama native.
Now with Wilder firing off insults of his own, Fury had enough and returned a shove to Wilder. That caused security, as well as members from each man’s camp, to step in between each fighter to prevent consequential chaos from ensuing.
While both men have respect for each other, it’s clear that fight week has brought out the competitive spirit and a natural irritation of seeing each other in any other fashion except the ring.
Luckily for these two men, the wait is almost over as February 22 is right around the corner!
