Deontay Wilder is ready for a Tyson Fury rematch
Just days after the grueling controversial draw, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (40-0-1, 39KOs) has made it clear he wants a rematch with Tyson Fury (27-0-1, 19KOs).
When asked about a rematch in an interview conducted over SiriusXM radio, he didn’t hesitate to answer.
“I would love the rematch to end the score once and for all. To ease people’s mind of this world-wide controversial conversation.
“I want to settle that score while the iron’s hot on it.
“I don’t see why not, let’s do it again and give the fans what they wanna see.”
This is very surprising to many considering a big fight with unified champion Anthony Joshua is looming. A rematch can put that potential mega-fight at risk again.
The champ is confident that in the next fight he will be victorious and claims the Joshua unification will be next.
Additionally, Wilder revealed that there was surgery done on his right hand before training camp, insinuating this could have hampered his performance on December 1.
