Zab Judah currently hospitalized due to injuries sustained in Cletus Seldin bout!

3kingsboxing regrets to report that the former undisputed champion Zab “Super” Judah (44-10, 30 KO’s) has been hospitalized with bleeding on the brain.

This is a similar injury we have seen fighters in recent past suffer from such as Adonis Stevenson, Pritchard Colon and Nick Blackwell.

At this time, it is unknown how severe the situation is. At age 41, he was just in the ring on June 7 against the hard-hitting and relentless Cletus “Hebrew Hammer” Seldin (24-1, 20 KO’s) in a super welterweight bout.

The prizefight, which took place in Verona, New York, was un-televised yet available for streaming via Fite.tv.

In against Seldin, it was evident that Judah was nowhere near the fighter that he had once been. Gone was his blistering hand speed, nimble reflexes and destructive power.

All that was left was bravado and the will to win. Yet with no tools to accomplish the task, Judah was little more than a sitting duck when trading shots with the Hebrew Hammer.

The fight quickly devolved in a one-sided thumping. Judah would absorb a substantial beating over the course of eleven rounds before referee Charlie Finch halted the match. Judah ended the fight on his feet and immediately protested the stoppage.

While still in the ring, there were no overt signs that anything was awry with Judah’s health. Regardless of how he appeared directly after the fight, within 24 hours, the former two-division champion was rushed to the hospital.

In his heyday, the former two-division champion was a phenomenal fighter with physical talents rivaled by few, if any.

Win, lose or draw, Judah has been in the ring with: Micky Ward, Junior Witter, Kostya Tszyu, DeMarcus Corley, Cory Spinks, Miguel Cotto, Danny Garcia, Amir Khan, Lucas Matthysse and Floyd Mayweather to name a few.

3kingsboxing.com would like to wish him a speedy recovery!
