Adrien Broner Airs Personal Demons and Signals Intent to Commit to Boxing
Four-division champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (34-4-1, 24 KO’s) continues to have turmoil staging his reentrance to the sport. The Cincinnati, Ohio native has had a number of fights fall through back-to-back, and he’s even swapped promotional companies. Now, Broner has taken to his social media to reveal that he is suffering mentally due to several of his addictions. This is not the first time that The Problem has publicly outlined his ongoing battle with his personal demons.
THE CROSSROADS
Luckily for his family, friends and fans, Broner remains very optimistic about his future. While he is frank about the struggles that he is undergoing, The Problem maintains he is committed to the good fight. Obviously, we are going to have to actually see Broner back in the ring before we can determine what he’s got left in the tank. Technically, the skilled fighter could be on the brink of an awe-inspiring comeback.
Despite his numerous losses, barring Marcos Maidana, Broner has never been dominated or beat up by anyone in the ring. He has fought the likes of: Shawn Porter, Mikey Garcia and Manny Pacquiao. In fact, the majority of his defeats have come to pass because Broner simply wouldn’t let his hands go.
Due to his still prevalent name value in the sport, Broner can still make major waves. So long as he strings together a couple of solid wins, there is no reason that he couldn’t make some very notable match-ups. It’s very probable that he could dance with two-time world champion Regis Prograis or face the bigger names at welterweight. At this point in time, it just boils down to will Broner get back in the ring and start winning again. In either case, 3Kings Boxing will be here to report the aftermath.
