Agit Kabayel Stops Zhieli Zhang In The Sixth Round
In a heavyweight showdown with so much on the line, Agit Kabayel (26-0, 18KO) beat down Zhieli “Big Bang” Zhang (27-3-1, 22KO) with a vicious body attack.
Big Bang kicked off the fight with punishing straight left hands. He worked behind that jab, fighting off the front foot and putting Kabayel on the back foot.
The undefeated German adjusted by coming forward with a relentless body attack. He changed the direction of the fight with the Chinaman fighting off the back foot.
Kabayel never let off the gas going into the middle rounds with that body attack. With every deep breath Zhang took, Kabayel kept up the pressure, landing fast combinations.
In round five, Kabayel got dropped by a thunderous left hand. However, he got up and closed the round strong.
Then in round six, Kabayel cranked up the offense with a series of body shots. His body attack depleted Zhang’s energy as the referee counted to ten.
Unified champion Oleksandr Usyk entered the ring to place the WBC interim title around Kabayel. It’s the biggest win of his career, and a title shot could be next.
