Alan Picasso Wins a Unanimous Decision Over Azat Hovannisyan
In a rather grueling duel, super bantamweight boxer Alan David Picasso (29-0-1, 16 KO’s) beat Azat Hovhannisyan (21-5, 17 KO’s) by way of unanimous decision.
Over the course of twelve rounds, the two fighters waged naked war and threw punches near constantly. Despite the volume of shots being tossed this fight was anything but a case of Rock-em, Sock-em Robots as the offense was responsible and strategic.
Both competitors evenly spread their shots out between the head and body. Although, Hovhannisyan was deducted a point in the fifth period for a low blow. While the battle was fiercely competitive, Picasso was just enough more active, accurate and energetic. As a result, he was awarded the victory by way of unanimous decision to the tune of 118-110 (twice) and 120-108.
