Nahir Albright Wants Another Shot at Keyshawn Davis
In his latest duel, lightweight fighter Nahir “Woo” Albright (17-2, 7 KO’s) stepped up and scored an upset win over Kelvin “Night Night” Davis (15-1, 8 KO’s). It was the final slap in the face of the Davis clan which consisted of Kelvin, Keon and Keyshawn Davis. Technically the youngest and most green brother, Keon, took care of business. Kelvin and Keyshawn Davis could not say the same.
In fact, the face of the self-proclaimed DB3 brothers, Keyshawn Davis missed weight by an unforgivable four pounds. This infraction ultimately led to the cancellation of his duel. Although it was the staggering amount of weight coupled with his cavalier attitude about the situation that left a bad taste in many of the fans’ mouths.
After the prizefight was over, Albright alleged that Keyshawn and Keon attempted to jump him backstage at the venue. Given his way however, Albright hoped to turn the would-be assault into opportunity.
THE GOLDEN TICKET
Woo actually fought and lost to Keyshawn Davis via majority decision back on October 14, 2023. The result would later be reclassified as a no-contest after it was revealed that Davis was busted for marijuana. Following the fight with brother Kelvin, and the near-bushwhacking, Albright wants to secure another dance date with Keyshawn Davis.
“They started walking up to me all tough and then he put his head up against mine and he grabbed me and I was about to swing but my team grabbed Keyshawn and everything was crazy . . . but it adds fuel to the flame. Keyshawn, you got to run it back with me!”
While you can’t fault Woo for shooting his shot, it remains rather unlikely that Davis will look his way again. Even with the current controversy that he is slathered in, Davis will presumably be able to return to a big name and sizable payday. So, in the meantime, we’ll have to wait and see if Albright can flip this win into a golden future.
