Allen continues to rebound from Yoka loss
Many didn’t expect much of a match-up here. While Samir Nebo’s wins all came by way of knockout, he had also been stopped twice in his career. In addition, the level of competition of the men he knocked was minimal.
From the opening bell, Allen come out with pure aggression. He put the pressure on Nebo, pushing him back into the ropes with several big shots. Once there, he landed a beautiful left hook to the body, dropping his opponent with a minute left in the round.
Nebo never recovered as he was counted out by the referee.
Allen is looking to gain more momentum as he continues to rebound from a knockout loss to Olympic gold medalist Tony Yoka in June.
Recently, he engaged in a Twitter war with former WBA regular champion Lucas Browne. When asked about that potential fight, Allen stated he would like to get in another ten round fight before considering that fight.
