Jerwin Ancajas stops Miguel Gonzalez in six!
IBF Super Flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas (32-1-2, 22KOs) made a eighth consecutive successful title defense in dispatching #14 rated Miguel Gonzalez (31-3, 8KOs) in six rounds.
From the onset, the powerful champion came out pressing the action. He ripped thudding body and head shots on his over-matched adversary. Gonzalez would have his moments, as he gave Ancajas some punishing leather shots of his own.
In round three, Ancajas rocked Gonzalez and sent him stumbling backwards against the ropes with a powerful overhand left! From that point on, it was downhill for the challenger, as he was simply was outgunned!
The conclusion was emphatic and painful for Gonzalez. An uppercut sent him stumbling yet again to the ropes! Sensing victory was within reach, the champion pounced, unloading fast and powerful combinations until the referee jumped in to stop fight!
Ancajas closes out his 2019 campaign strong as this banked his seventh IBF title defnse; his second for the year! He has already mentioned he would like to fight WBC champion and 3kingsboxing.com #7 ranked fighter in the sport, Juan Francisco Estrada next!
