Jared Anderson Calls Out Title Challenger Dillian Whyte!

The heavyweight division has plenty of fresh young talent ready to make their mark on the division. One name that jumps out is 23-year-old Ohio native Jared “Big Baby” Anderson (12-0, 12KO). The young prospect has placed a bullseye on the back of title challenger Dillian “The Body Snatcher” Whyte (29-3, 19KO).

In boxing, prospects looking to break into contender status will target higher-ranked fighters. Anderson is no different, except boxing pundits believe in his ability to defeat a few second-tier fighters. Furthermore, Anderson has grown tired of feasting on lower-tier opponents and wants to step up the level of competition.

THE CALL-OUT

Ranked #15 by the WBC, the top prospect took to social media to call out Whyte after witnessing his lackluster victory over Jermaine Franklin.

Jared Anderson requests a fight with Dillian Whyte

This is nothing new for Big Baby. In the past, he called for a fight with highly-ranked stablemate Arslanbek Makhmudov. Of course, Anderson will not get to fight Whyte anytime soon. The Body Snatcher is the frontrunner to rematch former unified champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua.

THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT FOR ANDERSON

Big Baby dropped onto the boxing scene after an impressive amateur career in 2019. His stock was already high and grew even bigger following every performance. In 2021, Anderson’s two supposedly tough tests, Vladimir Tereshkin and Oleksandr Teslenko, got run over like roadkill.

In his last outing, after recovering from an injury, Anderson demolished veteran Miljan Rovcanin in two rounds. He has stopped four consecutive opponents within two quick rounds.

Anderson is viewed as a future heavyweight champion and seems to have the right mindset. It won’t be long before he is knocking on the door of a title shot if he continues to dominate.
