Jared Anderson takes care of Johnnie Langston!
Intriguing heavyweight prospect “Big Baby” Jared Anderson (3-0, 3KOs) was looking to pick up the fourth victory of his young career. Standing in his way was Johnnie Langston (8-2, 3KOs).
Almost immediately after the bell would ring, we’d see both fighters meet in the middle of the ring and start exchanging leather! Anderson, utilizing his jab, would vary his attack well, going to the head and body of his opponent. Langston, to his credit, would land some thudding shots of his own. However, they would have little effect on the 20 year-old prospect.
Anderson completely took over early as he ramped up the punishment heading into the second round. Left and right hooks to the body clearly started to take their toll on Langston as he retreated backwards towards the ropes. Several times, the fighter from Florida nearly collapsed from exhaustion!
The third round would spell doom for Langston, as Anderson would pummel him with repeated overhand left-hands. Showing toughness, the over-matched opponent offered nothing as Anderson let his hands go until referee Jay Nady would jump in and call a halt to the action.
The Toledo, Ohio native is a fighter to keep an eye on. At 6’4 and only twenty years-old, he has tons of potential as he progresses in his career.
He improves his record to 4-0, 4 KOs.
