Demetrius Andrade petitions WBC to be the mandatory for Jermall Charlo
WBO middleweight champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (31-0, 19ko) has just turned up the heat on WBC champion Jermall “Hit Man” Charlo (32-0, 22ko) with his recent social media post. His hope is to draw Hit Man into the ring by becoming his mandatory challenger.
It is no secret that Boo Boo is looking to fight the top guys in his division to prove he is as good as the eye test tells us he is. After impressively pulverizing challenger Jason Quigley in the second round, fans were excited to see Andrade being so aggressive. Andrade demanded that the fans and media call for the top guys to fight him during the post-fight interview.
“When am I going to get my big break, and how come I am not getting it? What do I got to do to get it? I ran up on Charlo’s press conference….I ran up on GGG…What I got to keep on doing? I don’t get it…I don’t need to keep saying or doing all that extra shit.”
“The fans need to demand these fights, that’s it.”
Andrade was not done. In another interview on iFL TV, he once again went after fans. He challenged them to make their favorite fighters get in the ring.
“Tell your heroes to get in the ring and let’s dance.”
HUNTING DOWN CHARLO
Well, now it seems the WBO champion has decided to put a bullseye on the back of Charlo, and he is relentless in his pursuit. The history between Andrade and both the Charlo brothers goes back to 2014. He has garnished sufficient hatred from the brothers for them to have once request that other fighters in the division to boycott fighting him. However, Boo Boo has remained steadfast on looking to corner his divisional rival champion into fighting him.
“I’m coming for you @FutureOfBoxing time is ticking.”

That statement is about to become a reality, for Andrade has requested the WBC do something they have done in the past, and hopefully, they will comply.
