WBO middleweight champion Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (31-0, 19ko) has been calling for any recognizable name in the division for a fight. Moreover, he has been consistent in calling out WBO mandatory challenger Jaime Munguia, IBF champion Gennady Golovkin and WBC champion Jermall “Iron Man” Charlo (32-0, 22ko) .

Boo Boo is serious about wanting to fight. He recently petitioned for the WBC mandatory position for a chance to finally fight WBC champion Charlo.

“I directed my team to petition the @WBCBoxing to make me @FutureOfBoxing mandatory…..Let’s go @FutureOfBoxing you can’t keep running.”

After his second-round destruction of challenger Jason Quigley, he immediately started demanding fans to call for their favorite fighter to step into the ring with him.

“Jaime Munguia needs to be fighting me…..Or [IBF champion] GGG winner or loser of [WBA champion Ryota] Murata. I’ll fight either one of them cause they both are elite top fighters, and I want to get in there with the best.”

Munguia is a former WBO junior middleweight champion, so he goes to the front of the line for a title shot. However, Golden Boy Promotions, who guides his career, has been reluctant to enforce the mandatory position.

Andrade would double down on wanting to fight both GGG and Munguia while speaking with Esnews.

“I have been calling them out…Munguia has been my mandatory for 10 years now. GGG, I would love to get in the ring with him. It would be an honor to get in the ring with GGG. At the same time, I am going in there to dismantle him.”

A WORTHY OPPONENT HAS ARISEN

While Andrade is waiting to fight the other champions in the division, or Munguia, the #2 ranked fighter, Janibek Alimkhanuly (11-0, 7ko), has stepped up to the plate. Alimkhanuly’s team petitioned the WBO to name him as the mandatory challenger. The WBO granted their request and the sanctioning body ordered Andrade to defend the title against Alimkhanuly.

The 28-year-old from Kazakhstan is a former 2016 Olympian blessed with a high skill level and has power. He is a noteworthy opponent for Andrade until the bigger fights come along.
