A Matchroom Boxing fighter since his debut, Ammo has participated been on a number of high profile DAZN cards. So long as he continues with his winning ways, it appears that he has a potentially bright future ahead. This is a large part of why Williams sought to continue to impress. In against Jones, he was intent on making a statement. One could only imagine that he was pleased with first round stoppage.
In the opening minute of the bout Williams stayed true to form by working the body from behind a steady jab. Yet, before the match could get warmed up Ammo caught Jones with a short left hook. The punch dazed and caused him to retreat to the ropes. Seeing that his man was hurt Williams pounced on him and smothered Jones in punches.
Honestly speaking, nothing of tremendous significance landed in the flurry but Jones had zero response outside of covering up. As a result referee Mark Calo-oy jumped in and waived the match off.
Williams is clearly one of the more talented young fighters in the game. Matchroom will move him slowly. Although, he may be ready for a step-up bout now!
