Mario Barrios Takes out Jose Roman in Eight Rounds!
Mario Barrios systematically breaks down Jose Roman for an eight round TKO after his corner threw in the towel.
Trained by Virgil Hunter Barrios 23, an undefeated Junior Welterweight prospect came out pumping the jab and throwing combinations.
Outside of landing a few left hooks, Roman was stymied by his opponent’s body assault. He got dropped in the fourth round with a beautiful left hook to the top of the head.
Barrios was clearly in the lead by round eight. There, he continued his body assault and dropped Roman again with a barrage of punches as he trapped in the corner. However, Roman would survive the round.
Unfortunately, Roman wouldn’t see the ninth round. His corner stepped in and waved it off; saving him from more unnecessary punishment.
Barrios improves his record to 22-0, 14 KOs. He was impressive tonight and may have caught the eyes of fight fans as a fighter to watch moving forward.
